Who we are
PerkQi for Shopify (“PerkQi”, “we”, “us”) is a product of Kinetpay Technologies Pvt Ltd. This policy explains how we handle data when a merchant installs the PerkQi app on a Shopify store, and when shoppers visit that store.
For merchant data, we act as a data controller. For your shoppers’ data, we act as a data processor on your behalf, and you remain the controller.
Data we collect
When you install PerkQi, we read the following from your Shopify store through Shopify’s APIs:
- Store details: store name, domain, currency, time zone and plan.
- Customers: name, email address, order count, total spend, tags and loyalty points.
- Orders: line items, prices, discounts applied, dates and totals.
- Products: titles, variants, prices, costs (if you provide them) and collections.
- Offer activity: which offers a shopper saw, took, left in the cart or bought.
We do not collect or store payment card details. Shopify’s checkout processes all payments.
How we use data
We use this data only to provide PerkQi to you:
- To recommend audiences and offers in Studio.
- To test a promotion against your last 180 days of sales.
- To show the right offer to the right shopper in your storefront.
- To check every discount against your margin floor, stacking rules and budget caps.
- To report results and improve the next offer for your store.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not use your data to train models for other merchants.
Where data is stored
Each store has its own isolated database. Stores in India are hosted in our own data centre in India. Stores in other countries are hosted on Amazon Web Services in India.

How long we keep data
We keep store data for about 14 months, because customer scoring looks back up to one year. Older data is removed automatically.
Sharing with third parties
We share data only with service providers that help us run PerkQi, under written agreements that require them to protect it. These include our hosting provider and our AI processing provider for the Studio advisor. A current list of sub-processors is available on request.
Your rights and your shoppers’ rights
Depending on where you or your shoppers live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or delete personal data, and to object to some processing. PerkQi supports GDPR requirements for customer data.
We respond to Shopify’s mandatory privacy webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact and shop/redact) within the time Shopify requires.
Leaving PerkQi
If you uninstall PerkQi and ask us to delete your data, we first give you a copy of your database. Then we delete it from our systems.
Security
We protect data with encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and per-store database isolation. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data and will tell you promptly if a breach affects it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy. If a change is significant, we will tell you by email or in the app before it takes effect.
